Lots of features, room for improvement, March 6, 2012 By CB (San Diego, CA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Samsung BD-E5900 3D WiFi Blu-ray Disc Player (Black) (Electronics) I just bought the Samsung E5900 Blu ray player yesterday despite not finding a single review of this player online. I bought this mostly for the smart, streaming and integration features and have not had a chance to actually play a movie yet.
Setup
The initial wizard was easy to follow and connect to my Wi-Fi network. Despite this being a fairly new device, it took about 20 minutes to install numerous updates.
Video streaming services
It supports numerous services, but not Amazon Video on-demand. There are apps that you can download to watch MLB.TV and other services. Youtube and Pandora are great.
Integration with my Network Attached Storage
It found it and connected no problem, but couldn't play almost any videos recorded on my canon camera or flip video camera or samsung?? galaxy smart phone. It played music from the drive and loaded photos with no problem.
Smartphone / Tablet remote control apps
